Heirs of the Protestant Reformation
Cedar Ridge is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of
America, an association of 1,300 autonomous churches united by a
mutual commitment to serve the Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance
of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the word of God.
Cedar Ridge joyfully embraces its Biblical, Reformation roots,
affirming the same fundamental truths that were so important to the
Protestant Reformers: Martin Luther, William Tyndale, John Calvin,
John Knox and others.
With them, we affirm:
Scripture Alone - The Bible is the final authority
on all matters of faith and life.
Christ Alone - We are saved solely by the merits of
Jesus Christ, who died for our sins on the cross and who alone has
the perfect righteousness we need to stand uncondemned in the holy
presence of God Almighty.
Faith Alone - Christ's perfect righteousness is
imputed to all those, but only those, who trust in His work alone as
the basis of their acceptance with God.
Grace Alone - Salvation is a sovereign act of
almighty God. He must change our hearts and create faith within us
before we will ever be willing to come to Christ for salvation.
Glory to God Alone - Since salvation is purely an
act of God, and not a cooperative act of man plus God, God deserves
all the glory for our salvation. God works all things together in a
grand symphony, for our ultimate good and His ultimate glory.
We at Cedar Ridge seek to worship God in spirit and truth, and we
place an emphasis on clear, sound Bible teaching and the Holy
Spirit's application of God's truth in our lives.
